putting [Final] in the title can't wait to see what people make! I hope to at least see 1 2d color roguelike, a hallway dungeon master clone, and a 1bit game... oh and some sweet cavemen and dinosaur robot games

Someone should really use these to make a game that is as bitchingly hard as Tower Of Druaga it would totally win round 2.

Just wanted to throw in a quick comment that I think these sprites look totally boss when scaled up with hqx. Not all of them scale up perfectly, but some of them (like the tentacled eye boss) seem to really "pop" with it. hq2x: hq3x: I'm having a lot of fun playing with scaling up these different lo-fi graphics that everyone's been making --clint

I don't have time right now to do all of the provided sheets, but I at least processed the main character sheet into hq2x, hq3x, and hq4x versions. Here's the hq3x version: I love the way those robot knights came out -- they even look good at 4x. I'm not intending to use these sprites in my own game (I'm gunning for a platformer of some kind), but are other people interested in seeing hqx'd versions of the rest of these? It's a command-line operation to scale these -- I'm not manually modifying them, so it's tough to know how such impersonal-resizing gels with the rules of the comp. --clint Edit: Maybe I should just quit now so that Derek can finish up the rest of the comp. If ppl want to hq2x them for their games, they maybe should just do it themselves?

It's pretty easy to work hq filtering into an engine. Having said that, I probably won't do it. Me likey pixels.

It's always kind of fun to do higher fidelity rendering tricks with pixel data... 3d extrudes, or lightbright kinds of things etc.

an example of how to bugfix a missing tile for the 3d dungeon sheet (the tiles on the far left). Which will allow distant left turns, right turns and emptiness.
