You should include a magnifying glass with your art.

Here are eight more. Hopefully quantity will totally make up for the lack of quality.

Have you considered walk animations for any of these? Perhaps separate from the rotations (no need to do walk animations in 12 directions, methinks!) Maybe just on the cardinals, and a 4-frame animation would probably do these critters justice (centered, left foot forward, centered, right foot forward). Just a simple head-bob and twitch the bottom row of pixels.

Cute sprites. The rotations make me want to do a super-tiny 360 degree shooter.

I was going to do walk animations, but that would probably make them much, much taller (by one pixel). I thought it might be easier for everyone if they are all uniformly at most 8x8 in size. Also, I thought that people might be able to use small rotations as replacement for real walking animation. Also, it would be more work. Basically, I am lazy. I may try animating the characters later.

Oh, you're totally right. Just flipping back and forth between to adjacent images (a 2-frame walkcycle, booyah!) would be perfect for the style. :D Basically, I am lazy.
Amen. :D

Here are some super generic enemies. How do you make animated Gifs? Do I need to download a program? It would make checking animations much more doable for me, and posting a single animation instead of spritesheets would be much cleaner. Plus everyone else is doing it.

I use Beneton Movie Gif. Kind of slow and clunky, but it's easy to use. You can also try microsoft gif animator.

I really like the style... HAS CONSIDERED COLOURING? The objective is to hide my extreme artistic incompetence behind extreme stylization. I mean, if art can't be good, unique is the next best thing! And by "unique," I mean simple to the point of uselessness. Actually, I may try coloring again eventually, but the first attempts were so dismal... I wouldn't worry too much about an animated gif.. spritesheets are the easiest for programmers to implement in games Oh, I know spritesheets are easier for coding. I promise to post the origional sheets at the end, but animated gifs would help programmers get an imeadiate impression of what the sprites actually look like without any labor-intensive coding. Making a gif is also a useful learning experience for me.

I'm beginning to expand on the generic lizard-like race. Unfortunately, there are only 8 frames of rotation instead of 12. I guess I'll have to make each frame 50% more awful to fill my quota.

Ha! It will take more than a few measly midterms to get rid of me. So I finally got around to converting some of the sprite sheets to gifs for convienence, but it is more time consuming than expected. Rotating Hero: Rotating LizardMan: Rotating FlyBugThing:
