Platformer + Mine Sweeper
Some of the platforms are deadly bombs. Jumping on a platform reveals its proximity to a bomb... or it explodes.

Redline: The Game? Racing + RTSCoordinate various units that boost each other in various ways to reach the goal the fastest. Perhaps something similar in concept to team trickjumping in Quake, except you control all the units.

Trading Card Game + Interactive Story
Reading lots of dialog with the occasional game popping up, and all the cards are drawn in a chibi fashion.

Continuity + Dungeon Crawler Half redundant. Go down through an endless dungeon that loops around to the first floor after half a dozen floors or so, but with new and harder enemies. (Didn't I just place that torch there?)
