Valter, Darwin's work was a major inspiration to Adolf Hitler.

Fail.

Also, I was hoping battle pope was a game, sigh...

While we're at it, let's go boycott Team Fortress 2. It's obviously putting to shame the undisguised art style of 60-90s comics, and is associating them with mindless bloodshed, "Bonk"s and "Cry some more!"s, and it was obviously made by Valve as a preemptive strike to target all would-be comic-like games.

We must stop this, now!

OH. Did I mention this game is already out and a huge success? Yes, yes, it will make it a much easier target!

He was also influenced by Nietzsche who was a completely batshit egomaniac and probably had the first nerd superiority complex in recorded history.

This game does look wretchedly over-dramatic. I don't see why they'd bother to name it after Dante's book at all, given how far it is in spirit.

It's funny, I feel a strong instinctive reaction against this game, but I can't make an exact and logical argument for why it is bad.

I think what really offends me is not that they're trivializing Dante's work, but that they're using it as a vehicle for a God of War ripoff. That shows a lack of respect for the text. Compare that to Arm Joe - it's a much greater departure from the original text than Dante's Inferno, but I think Arm Joe actually reveals a great deal of respect and admiration for Les Miserables.

coolmoose already did that fo' ya

I wouldn't give two damns about this game if it weren't called "Dante's Inferno".

Hey look, mainstream culture! A video game adaptation of a classic poetic work! See how far we've come as a medium, we can do more than make bullshit games about violence and "being a badass" and pre-pubescent sex fantasies!

Oh, wait
