Just finished the game, it was great!  Just wanted to jump in and add an extra curse to the three spike room.  It needs as many people cursing it as possible.

1)  If you have no technical issues, this game is actually pretty easy (at least compared to the *real* cruel indie platformers out there.)

2)  If you have no technical issues, this game is a lot of fun!  Good job guys!  Beer!

(my favourite aesthetic was the interlacing  Who, Me? )

Exactly my scenario. I want to see the rest of the game, but I cannot make it past that first jump. I've tried too many times already.

I'm convinced this is an art game, because there's no way to tell there's a game past the first jump other than people in this thread say that there is one, and there are screenshots.

Sound effects got a little annoying, but the overall the graphics make a solid game. Short and sweet.

The worst part is obviously the fact that you get past "PUSSY!" and you make a mistake on "TO THE KING'S CHAMBERS..." or "FORBIDDEN GROUNDS" and have to start a "PUSSY!" again.

Also, I know this game is not striving to be a technical feat, but if collision detection didn't outline the character as a box, I'm sure there would be less frustration. But that may be your point.

One last thing: it takes too long to reset after a death. More frustration.

Again, considering a lot of the game in retrospect upon completion, I don't see these as problems as much as "it's supposed to be technically crippled for your pain".

Enjoyable. I must say, I am on the fence about "art games". A love/hate relationship with them as I think a game should accomplish it's goal to generally not be input disconnected from a player's intentions. "In Soviet Russia, game plays you." - kind of thing going on. I guess that is what is good about a mixed medium such as indie games though... A lot of rules can be changed to favor other aspects such as story, art, and in this case quick platforming and intrigue.

Or no rules altogether.

I wonder what the developers take on this... Is it an art piece or project or was I supposed to enjoy it mindlessly like a first person shooter?

Maybe it's because I shaved my head like a hardass yesterday, but I didn't think this was that hard at all. Easier than Spelunky, definitely easier than Tower of Heaven. Cool

Great game though, I enjoyed it, gameplay, story, bloodlava and all. Shame the quote at the end was kind of cliché.

only took me a few minutes, not as difficult as people are making out.

edit- my pc aint that great, either.

edit2- and it doesn't run at all slowly, so it's not that either.

Seriously, son of a... I even beat the entire game again and still failed to jump over it. I just want to know if that's the real ending or not xD (Ex: can you jump over the sword?)

"Leap of Faith" was the only level that really gave me problems. Fun stuff!  Beer! Best of luck with the compo.
