Do you think you could make a top-down-style "up" and "down" movement for him?  Combined with the side-view animations you've already got (which should transfer to top-down well enough as they are), you could extend his potential usability.
I'd also like to request the holding animations without the gun, so that he can be holding anything.

I'll see what I can do about the up and down directions, I thought about doing these before, but dropped the idea because I wanted to finish all animations first.

Speaking of those, I did the "holding thin air" ( :D ) and an additional "holding stuff above your head" animation

All I need now is a throwing animation ,a pushing/pulling one and maybe a shooting up/down one.
