Hi guys! I heard late about the contest... about two weeks ago. I thought it will be useless trying to participate (because the shortage of time), but then this simple vector aesthetic comes to my mind. Based on transparencies, superposition... it's super easy to make... and kind of easy and fun to be animated.

I´ll try to make these 4 characters in sprite stripes of various actions, like idle, move, jump, etc.

I´m going to make other props like crates, barrels and different objects, also some simple background tiles.

Cheers! Feedback please! WinkHand Metal Right

Super cool. I love the style. It would be sweet to see some fight animations with these, like some jabs or leg sweeps.

This is great, and I can't remember having seen anything like it before. If you're pushed for time, I'd recommend doing as many different animations as possible for the characters you've got rather doing a bunch of new stuff. And maybe provide the individual components, too.

With the robber character you've got walking, I'd suggest making his pelvis taper a bit towards the bottom rather than be a straight rectangle as you've got it at the moment, as it looks a bit like he's wearing a miniskirt and tights right now.

I really hope someone uses these, they make a real change from all the pixelly stuff elsewhere.

Stuff like this is always useful.

If you don't have time to animate more guys, maybe you could pump out more of these.

Don't worry about the exact time.  If it's daylight on the 30th, wherever you are, then you should think about quitting.  Officially this ends the end of the 29th, in your own personal time zone (I guess).
