I love how they say "Yeah we're bringing the brand new gameplay innovations from our new well-respected brand that consists of like one game."
And are they talking about sidescrolling 2d graphics? Cause that's totally what "original series" means to me.

they're talking about the mostly pretty good 3d series that started with sands of time. (which is one of the best games of the last generation btw)

But unlike Braid, their time potion runs out.

I know that, but I'm saying it's a bit shady to call it the "original" series, and even shadier to say "brand" when they're referring to one game. And yeah, Sands of Time was pretty good.

fun fact: ubisoft's modus operandi for sands of time was "make it like ICO." apparently the game was always being played and analysed. ico was the game to beat.
in that respect IT WAS A FAILURE.
but yeah, that was great game.

Predictable. Though I still have to play the latest PoP. Honestly, I think one of the problems was calling it just Prince of Persia. I dunno, felt kinda cocky.

Another fun fact: Ico was influenced by the original Prince Of Persia.

I hope returning to the Sands of Time storyline doesn't mean they'll make the game all "badass" and juvenile like Warrior Within. Though I somehow suspect it does.

The artwork for the new Prince of Persia was awesome, but I thought the gameplay was kind of weak. And by 'kind of weak' I mean terrible.

Nope. They are somehow going to bring Sands Of Time back...

The new PoP had great graphics and fundamentally solid gameplay that was marred by some seriously bad design decisions (namely utter lack of challenge).

I really didn't like the last Prince of Persia. The entire game felt like Parappa the Platformer, never really got a feeling that I was controller the character. But maybe that's just because of the emphasis got put on animation over everything else, which is kinda Prince of Persia to it's core.
Also ridiculously lenient move queuing.
