Depends on the distribution of developers.  I'm sure there are plenty out East, but I only know of DICE.

Besides, it probably has something with GDC being started in Chris Crawford's living room.

The Dice Conference? Because that's in Vegas.

On the East we have MIGS, which is great, but not super huge and is still trying to figure out where it stands, and apparently was missing all the indie developers last year. Or PAX East which just started.

I meant DICE, but I might have been wrong as far as their location goes.
