Note to anyone who's got a UK Railcard (there must be some other students going...)
It may be nice to know you can get free year's YHA membership (and thus save a little bit on the hostel listed) if you ring YHA at 01629 592700 and quote your railcard number and the code ATOC3.
Don't know whether I need the hostel yet or not though... if there's still a spare place I might have to grab it...

This is off-topic, but the UK 16-25 Railcard is one of the slickest, nicest, most well-orchestrated schemes I've ever encountered. It saved me a couple of hundred pounds last year, it's incredibly easy to get, and the people behind it are just profoundly competent in general. I renewed mine this week and it arrived in the post the next morning, less than 12 hours after I filled in the form online.

We had chance of super flights like that. But we weren't a 100% the jam would be these dates then, which is sad.  But now we have tickets and all we have to do is wait. 8D |

Gawd. I hope I can get Paypal sorted in time to order tickets. I got payment for my game and now I'm locked out of using my Paypal account until I pass a bunch of security checks |

Wow, I just used http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ to buy a train ticket from Edinburgh to Cambridge... What a totally messed up ticket site!  Now I'm too exhausted to figure out the hostel problem... I'll do that another day. In case you still have a free spot, I'll be needing one from thursday to monday. |
