I'm dumb. It's currently 9:00AM MDT (Arizona, USA). Does the competition end in 15 hours, 39 hours? Or XX hours?

Usually, it's the midnight ending the deadline day, so Sunday night/Monday morning. I think it's pretty relaxed as far as timezones go too.

This is some pretty amazing stuff guys!  Kiss  I saw that some of these games weren't quite complete yet, could we have a thread to list all the games that are going to be worked on further after the competition? Tons of the unfinished games looked promising and it'd be a shame for us to lose track of them.

Your games were neat enough to keep this player awake past 1:00 AM. (Although VVVVVV may have helped a tad with that.)  Tired Hand Metal Right I'll scour through everything and hopefully have a blogpost on PTT sometime this week that highlights my favorites.

I'm counting 73 finished entries.

Seventy fucking three.

This is unprecedented in TIGS history, I'm certain. The last record was around 60.

I tip my tophat to you fellow TIGers. You're beyond awesome. Gentleman

 Wizard

I predict at least a dozen of us are going to have late (unofficial?) entries throughout the week.

That would be awesome and heavily encouraged, as long as you maintain the deadline version always on top so people know what to play in order to judge you for voting.

Edit: FUCK it's gonna take a while to play all this stuff.

It would be great for the final assembly to mention which platforms games run on... Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and perhaps a category for cross-platform browser based / Flash games.

Someone really needs to archive these assets online, make 'em browsable, and add a submission and rating/categorization system. There is nowehere else online right now to get comparable quality assets for free. Some of this music and artwork is really amazing! It should be preserved in a centralized location (already some of it is linkdead  Crazy)

True, but I go to half-mast when I imagine an online database of all of this stuff being constantly added to in the future from a community of talent like this one. Most free assets I've found online were of limited use for most games, ripped from commercial games, or just not very good.

An online database, kinda like http://opengameart.org/? Quality isn't all the best, but it fits the bill.

Yeah we had this discussion earlier. I started building a site where people could submit art for free use until it was pointed out such a site already exists.

That's the perception the site gives but people uploading art can assign creative commons licenses which don't require the final game to be open source. Most content on the site seems to use such licenses. I think if you go back a few pages in this thread we've already had this discussion.
