Hi all you video game lovers,

We are a small video game development team based out of San Diego creating a 2D side scrolling shooting adventure RPG game for the mobile devices called Dark Dawn. There will be both Single player and Co-Op options.

Game Summary

Dark Dawn is a 2d shooting action adventure taken place in a post-apocalyptic era. The gamer will be playing as our hero who was a condemned man/female found suffering for his sins in Purgatory.

What we need and what we can offer in return (Unpaid).

We will be presenting to a few companies very soon once the demo is completed. We have 90% of the assets done for the demo and are currently looking for a programmer skilled in C++/C#( preferably Unity engine and have some animation experience ). We also may have a spot for a Level Designer. All of the animation has been done through Sprite. You will be able to put the game on your resume and have a chance for a potential position on the main game development.

If we have tickled your curiosity please contact me for more information through here or by my email at [email protected]. We know the struggles on acquiring a  job in the video game industry without any work experience so we hope to help out the gaming community with this and make a compelling and fun game at the same time.

We will provide images of the game upon contact. Keep on developing guys!

Best,

Derrick

Do you mean C#?

Because that's what Unity uses

Hi Whiteclaw,

The Unity Developers shared with me that anyone that knows how to code in C++ can code in Unity. So either skill will work. However, if a programmer that is interested in helping is familiar with Unity code, all the better.

No, C# is not C++, C# is a subset of C++ but it's still not C++, Unity is not a C++ engine, it's a C# engine and it doesn't support C++ as a language, it does support javascript too (unityscript) and Boo, but no C++ support, your dev maybe ment that learning C# would be easy for a C++ programmer but ...

Even if they're "almost" the same, It'll take that C++ dev some time to get used to how C# works, I'll stop hijacking this thread now

Good luck on your lookout Smiley (So much Cs in this reply xD)
