Biomass is a souls inspired handcrafted metroidvania (could I fit any more buzzwords there?) where every playthrough will feel different - your actions greatly affect the orientation of your journey. This is the first boss fight most players will encounter in the game, and its a good summary of my design philosophy for the whole game - the player has a few methods of tackling it. If you wear the right clothes, you can strike up a special conversation with the Red Mother. Answer the right questions, and she will allow you to pass without confrontation. Insightful players might also find an alternate path bypassing her entirely. I really love how the track came out for this boss, it's kinda like MGMT x Castlevania! In honor of Easter, here's a screenshot of a game of Summoners Fate with player che420 that involves some bunnies...killer & mutated ones, albeit. Eh, close enough to the Easter spirit.

Pebbles! No shadows yet, but still, pebbles! Figured out how to basically do mesh instancing inside a geometry shader, allowing me to populate an existing mesh's surface with many, many little pebbles. Obviously non-solid, but a great way to add some close-up detail. edit: Woah hey, reply #10,000

Added automatic Save/Load feature to Fire Exit As well as meta-data to know how levels are unlocking, plus relevant visuals and animations (WIP): Medals when you finish a level:
