A friend commissioned me to paint a picture of Dhalsim for him. I stretched and primed some canvas and did the undercoat yesterday, and worked on the first coat today. I'm not used to painting this small: it's only 9" x 12".  |

pretty different from your usual style, Pen, but very good :O. But but, do you see her left leg? That's fucked up. The upper abdominal region also looks a little off, like she has no rib cage, but I think a really easy fix would just be to change the direction of your strokes in the area from vertical to horizontal. |

I used a ref in which her leg was kinda fucked up already, but I'll see if I can change it. As for the ribcage, I'll try out the horizontal strokes. her ribcage wasn't really visible, but I figure that might be because it (the photo) is a tad overexposed.  |

A piece for my drawing final. It's good, I guess! There are some issues I couldn't really resolve (mostly the separation between the top/bottom of the piece) but I'm pretty happy with it overall. Awesome! The washes look great, and the collage at the bottom is a nice touch. I wish I could get 30 x 40 Rives somewhere in my town. Most of my projects last semester required a sheet about that big, but I could only find 22 x 30. *jealous* |
