A friend commissioned me to paint a picture of Dhalsim for him. I stretched and primed some canvas and did the undercoat yesterday, and worked on the first coat today. I'm not used to painting this small: it's only 9" x 12".

pretty different from your usual style, Pen, but very good :O. But but, do you see her left leg? That's fucked up. The upper abdominal region also looks a little off, like she has no rib cage, but I think a really easy fix would just be to change the direction of your strokes in the area from vertical to horizontal. I used a ref in which her leg was kinda fucked up already, but I'll see if I can change it. As for the ribcage, I'll try out the horizontal strokes. her ribcage wasn't really visible, but I figure that might be because it (the photo) is a tad overexposed.  Hand Thumbs Up Right

Something I worked on in February, but kept stalling because of the work needed to finish it all up. In a sudden burst of inspiration today, I managed to work through it, huzzah! It took 3 months to come up with enough discipline, poop

I saw a guy that looks just like that on the train this morning. I'm really hoping he was a superhero now.

A piece for my drawing final. It's good, I guess! There are some issues I  couldn't really resolve (mostly the separation between the top/bottom of  the piece) but I'm pretty happy with it overall. Might go back into it this summer. Click through for flickr.

30x40" drawing: acrylic, charcoal, collage, graphite, ink, and oil paint on grey-toned Rives BFK.

Awesome! The washes look great, and the collage at the bottom  is a nice touch.

I wish I could get 30 x 40 Rives somewhere in my town. Most of my projects last semester required a sheet about that big, but I could only find 22 x 30. *jealous*
