Yeah that's cool but she doesn't run like that in the game. I guess it's just a minor detail. (altho the stance still bugs me)

2 small nitpicks:

Still needs work on the hair. Also needs 2pixel outline on body.
This looks really nice, but the outline around her legs seems too thin to me.

thk for the edit rostiger(i see u arrange the hair too) but i still find it wierd about the motion blur on the second hand(look like a finger or she atk with the 2 hands) or it just me.
and is there a easy way to count pixel for the outline?

anyway how is this william broom?

i just add some motion blur and took out a frame too add speed
That's looking great too, but I think it should be slower.

It's a WIP animation.

Her wallgrab sprite.
Hehe. If you're not looking closely, that hand looks like a strange ear.

I suppose if you look long enough... really really hard.

EDIT:

Side note-

Soulliard- I don't know too much about the implementation of .gifs into the game; would it be easier for you if we cut out the background and left just the character's movement?

You mean, make the background transparent? I don't think it matters, since Game Maker uses its own (stupid) transparency settings.

Nothing special.

Very nice! Was worrying about how to implement the rotating shield, but this works great.

Those are all very nice sprites. I really like the wall grab and shield.

I think it's fine. Xoda is supposed to be really fast.

It doesn't matter at all.

Still needs work on the hair. Also needs 2pixel outline on body.

she needs some head and arm rotation. also the pants are way too baggy on the legs, they need to stop at the knees

Yeah, I'll fix that as soon as I'll get home (I'm at a computer in the highschool newspaper class; we're on break). But whatddya mean by arm rotation? They don't move in-game.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. +1 confidence boost.

Is in-engine sprite rotation (think Gunstar Super Heroes or something) not entirely feasible at this point? The graphic itself looks really nice but the animation could be drastically improved with a technique like that.

I believe we did it with JLJac's gigantic Death Worm sprite, we could certainly do it here.

Made some little changes here and there.

BEFORE

AFTER

May I suggest that we reduce the eyesize by the two bottom pixels for all her animations? I think it looks a lot cooler like that.

I don't think so. The eye size is an important part of Indie Brawl's style.

Otherwise, I really like how the walk turned out.
