Pretty much what I thought, but coming from the mouth of the man himself. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/oculus-rift-creator-responds-to-time-magazine-cove/1100-6429573/I think this cover/article chances at hurting VR's mainstream appeal are low to non-existant. Actually I believe the memes and jokes might have sparked interest. Price, sysreqs and content availability are bigger obstacles for VR's going mainstream.

I keep having fucked up nightmares about dissolving into wikipedia articles.
Also "21st Century Living" mimics the symptoms of aspergers anyway, it's like no shit I can't pick up on body language/non-verbal cues/pragmatics, they keep changing every three months and they're not as universal as they were when I was idk six.

Yup. Except it's mostly German and Swedish/Nordic loanwords as pronounced in English in my case. "uber"

All the best examples I can find are from the Nazi national anthem Here is the word without context, which always sounds a bit weird. But it shows the difference between the proper Gernman ü and how different it sounds from the u (oo-ber) which English decided to use. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/20/De-über.ogg
