Asul
A Filipino word for "Blue"



A short, plaftorm game. Your aim in every level is to collect all of the orbs. This is my first flash game made with Stencyl. "Asul" is a filipino word for "Blue".

Updates (Aug. 15, 2010)
- Fixed collisions.
- 8 more levels (so that makes it 18 levels, though without saving and loading... This is still a quick game for me)
- Added a jump sound.
- and more...

Simple and fun mechanics, simple and handsome graphics, perfect for a flash game! I think that polishing it a bit you could create a great game. For example, you can polish a bit the player animations when you're jumping. Anyway good work!

OH MY GOODNESS THAT MUSIC IS SO LOUD Never mind, my volume was turned up kind of high. Still kind of a noisy song for a game like this.

As one person on Newgrounds said, the spikes kill if you barely touch them. That's kind of brutal. And it feels unnatural. Other than that, the game isn't bad.

I got to level 11 and had to stop. I know of a lot of people that will enjoy the frustration of this game.

There are collision errors where the player is unable to walk through what should be open. I tried testing for circumstances or specific locations, but it seems to be mostly random.

I only noticed this once and it may have been coincidence, but it seems player movement lags for a second when the music loops.

Level 11 was significantly more difficult than the levels before it and the levels after it felt easy in comparison.

This occurs only once or twice, but it's frustrating when the player needs to jump over spikes but goes off the top of the screen while jumping. Maybe either extend the play area or add a shadow to indicate the player's horizontal location? Or is it just supposed to be difficult in these cases? Grin

Well, idoru.. I won't add something anymore to this game because its really done. And yeah, it does suppose to be difficult (On level 11, its not that difficult but a lot of people made it and finished level 11... So you guys can do it too).
