Fall through floors is currently being considered as a powerup, for two reasons.
1. It's a bit powerful, given the nature of the game!  It was ok in NeonPlat, but here it's a bit more strategic.. .. I think!  Assuming I can get the level building to work properly Wink
2. I've still not decided if the bottom should kill the player. In the current version it does, but the end result may differ!  (really making this up as I go!)

Jump On Enemies was the most hated thing from NeonPlat 2.  I've taken him out, but if folk like him, he may return!

Bricks to Destroy, floors that collapse, moving platforms, and a whole bunch of other floor/wall/roof tile items that I've got written in a great big list, on my desktop, that I've also not added yet.   Loads to do!!

As for the powerups.
I was kinda thinking Kirby-ish.
The ice (I'm still not happy with the Ice sprite!!) freezes the enemy, the Flower things fling at the enemy, but the sphere doesn't quite do much yet.  It's planned to be the powerup item.
Once baddies are hit with it, the sphere becomes a powerup, based on what it killed.

... you can chalk that lack of addition up to my laziness Wink

I see no specific reason why not. ..  probably helps that the 4 different coloured NeonPlat sprites are still in there Wink

Fun Facts!

1. The "F" trailer is now online.

It's got a whole bunch of the new stuff in it!
woot!

2. A new demo is not.
The game's spiralled out of control, to the point where any new release will probably have to wait until all the little bits are in place, incase it spontaneously combusts!
You'll have to make do with the older demo for now.

3. The release date is.. (unless my universe implodes, and I can't quite make it)
13th November 2011
Mark the date!

4. Although I had intended to include multiplayer, it's getting a bit crowded on the titlescreen!
Sad
I might leave it out, and do a bonus multiplayer edition/add-on at a later date.
I really need to learn some of those design skill thingies to help my menus from going completely mental!

And, just for good measure, an extra trailer!
Trailer G! (there's more on Youtube, if you want to be extra nosey!)

The game will be released in just over 2 weeks.

Your trailer link is busted. This looks insane. Will there be a Mac release?

One quick fix later.....  wasn't enough Wink

Windows, Linux and Mac.
and an iOS one at a later date, 'cos it all spiralled WAY out of control, and I couldn't get five minutes to start the iOS one!!!

Looks nice and busy (not a fan of the music, but so long as there's a toggle I'll be fine Smiley ).

iOS Progress Report :

The iOS edition of NeonPlat Adventures is going INCREDIBLY slowly!
It's taken me about 3 days of solid coding to get this far, and you still can't play anything yet.
But I'm still fairly confident that things will ease off a bit, soon, since I don't have to draw anything, or make more audio, or come up with new enemies, or anything like that.
It's just the raw coding, and most of that should be portable from the Win/Lin/Mac edition quite easily.
.. hopefully!
