    Hey Guys,

“Catacombs” is a competitive asymmetric two-player game where one player, the Wizard, hunts the other player, Raven. Raven must gather talismans and escape the maze-like environment before the Wizard is able to catch her. The Wizard can change the environment in order to corner Raven, preventing her from escaping the maze or achieving her objectives. Raven can choose to use the talismans as power-ups to advance her journey, or simply focus on blending with the minions and escaping.

    You can watch the

Story
  • Raven, a young girl, possesses a magical talisman given to her by her dying mother
  • The Wizard, who greatly desires Raven’s talisman, which will give him immortal life, kidnaps Raven
  • As Raven is being captured, she notices magical portals in the ground
  • Afraid of being sacrificed, she manages to escape from her cell and steals a cloak to blend in with the Wizard’s minions and begins looking for talismans to escape the Catacombs.

Feature Set
  • Intense one-versus-one competition
  • Block off pathways to corner Raven
  • Intense, in-the-moment soundtrack that adapts to the game’s progression
  • Supports numerous strategies to outwit your opponent

The Players
wizard
  • The wizard is trying to capture Raven. His entrapment spell can only capture adjacent players.
  • If he catches the wrong person, or no one at all, the Wizard is frozen for 5 seconds and all the barriers that he placed are removed. The wizard shines bright blue while frozen.
  • The wizards entrapment magic can not be used for 20 seconds after he becomes able to move again. While the power is on cool down, you will see a purple light surrounding the wizard
  • He can place up to 4 barriers around the map in select locations to wall Raven in. He may remove them to be used again at any time.
[liWhen Raven is close, the music gets intense and more intense when even closer. There are 2 ranges for music to change][/li]
[/list]

Raven
  • Raven is trying to escape the the catacombs. To do so she needs to obtain 3 talismans. There are a total of 5 talismans on the map
  • Raven can blend in with other characters on the map. It is best to study the characters to see how they move. Raven looks like other characters
  • Raven gains a power by picking up a talisman. Powers can only be used once and only one at a time. You can save up multiple powers for later use and cycle between them.
  • After obtaining 3 talismans, she must find a portal to exit.
  • Raven hears the Wizard's music

Tips for the Wizard
  • Try to use your music to triangulate the opponents position.
  • Watch for slow reaction times. Getting in the way of a player is a good way to test their movements.
  • Camping is not always the best option. Your opponent has options with exits and talismans
  • Be aware of the talismans your opponent has acquired. Try to figure out which ones they have used and which ones are still available to them
  • Wait for characters to leave your screen. If the music changes, you might have them.

Tips for Raven
  • Study the NPCs, see how they move
  • When the music first changes for proximity, the wizard is still off screen. However the second, more intense music indicates that he is probably on screen, though not necessarily
NPCs will not move diagonally unless running from or to raven
  • NPCs take sharp turns, and reverse direction abruptly. A lot of the time, this is because is has come in contact with something, but not always.
  • If you are completely walled off it might be best to focus on blending in, wait for you opponent to make a bad guess
