So here I am. I've got a platformer that works fairly well (enough for testing things anyway), I've got a great idea for a scenario with two characters, but they need to face some Puzzle things. Together.
I can't seem to find inspiration in one-player puzzle-platformers, and those with more than one character are mostly over-original (Trine, i've got you there)

I need to find some ideas of obstacles that could be set in a puzzle platformer, and resolved by two characters acting together. Any help?

Check out Bubble and Squeak (Amiga).

There are two characters but you can only control one of them directly, but if I remember it correctly it was pretty fun.

Catrap is a great example, but it doesn't become "coop" until about level 20 or so.

I'd write a devlog about my current game, but I'm too busy making it.

Oh my god, I played this game once when I was a child, and couldn't find its name until now... You just did a lot for me, seriously Kiss

The Lost Vikings 1 & 2 might help.  It's three characters not two, though.

My two characters are identical in terms or skills, that would be easier if they could complete each other WTF maybe I should change this Undecided

Visit 2 has two identical characters and is a puzzle game. I personally got bored of it though, it takes too long to introduce new elements.

If you want the characters to remain effectively identical but still vary in what they could do, you could have a per-level item/powerup type thing, where you're only allowed to carry one item/powerup at a time.  Be it a single object that enables you certain benefits like in Four Swords Adventure (if FSA were a platformer), or something that defines your whole moveset like Kirby Super Star (if KSS were a puzzle-heavy co-op game).  That way the players can take turns assuming different roles, and still bring something unique to complement one another.
