That was such a good game.  Pity it didn't do terribly well.  (What was with the weird toys-r-us exclusive?)  They did a masterful job of tweaking the difficulty curve to be friendly to casual players.  To this day, it is far and away my mom's favorite game, and she is not a gamer.  (Getting her to play games at all is a challenge)

Wow, that is some super impressive tech for behind-the-scenes level editing. I remember really enjoying this DS game, and now that I've watched that it makes sense how they did such a great job on the level design.

The other interesting bit watching this is thinking about how they used to make levels on old games. In one of the Arcade Collections for the Xbox, they had a video with the maker of Gauntlet who gave an explanation of making levels within the game itself. Some games you could even enable the debug mode with a Game-Shark or Game Genie.

Now if only we could get some tutorials on "making proper level editors" :D
