Eh, chicken heads and feet are more of an example of southern style Chinese cooking( like Guandong ).  Northern Chinese generally don't eat that stuff.

If you are actually in Shanghai, I'd recommend going to a decent Xinjiang restaurant.  By decent I mean one of the larger places with decent decor, not the small hole in the wall places with guys cooking noodles on the street( although the hand stretched noodles are pretty tasty for how much they cost ).  The lamb skewers are pretty tasty.

There are also decent Hunan and Yunan places.  There is a Yunan place called "Southern Barbarian" which has decent Yunan food, as well as a large selection of western beer.

I'd also check out a hot pot place.  There are a few "little fat sheep" places in Shanghai, which are decent, although the service sometimes sucks.

I've lived in China (including Guangdong) for years but thanks for the protips, bro.

And I disagree, any given hole-in-the-wall Xinjiang place or street food beat the shit out of most 'decent' places. It's a shame most of the foreign attendees that I spoke to were just sticking around that bit of Pudong instead of going a few kilometres out for the experience, because inner SH might as well be any other boring city unless your thing is really 1000rmb baozi.

Anyone have a link to all entries to IGF China 2010?  IGF main had a list, why doesn't China?  All I saw were the finalists.
