I wasn't selected! Here's my entry, Inner Weather! All day long, you consciously control the weather inside your head, deciding what thoughts and ideas should be approved, calmed or refused. If you stay positive, make careful choices and are not overwhelmed by mental chaos, your day will be a good one. >>>PLAY HERE!<<< or DOWNLOAD HERE!Play with SPACEBAR as the only input, or with an XBOX Controller's (a) button if you're playing the download version with JoyToKey (included). Title Screen The game at its easiest... ... and bit harder. I was not really hoping to be selected, but I'm really happy I have completed the game! It's the first ActionScript 3.0 game I have ever completed. ^_^ Font “BEBAS” by Flat-It// Original Post: I'm in! This is my first competition and I am EXCITED. This is terribly fun and inspiring. I'm delaying Anything Beats Everything to participate, it's definitely worth a try! The framework is all done. I need to figure out a few things programming-wise, then add some reward for the player, and I think I'll have a decent submission for the competition. It's done in Flash, will use JoyToKey and be a simple executable file.

The game's coming together pretty well! Problem is, it's in Flash, and the link for FlashJoystick is down... Anyone out there can help me, send me the files? pleasepleaseplease!

I looked all over the web trying to find it but cannot locate it. Not all is lost, you can just as easily setup Joy2Key or Xpadder to do the same thing.

Yeah I got JoyToKey installed. I'll try to have the game's installer install that too, hopefully it'll pass for the compo.
I'm nearing a first playable, then I'll have about two weeks to do all the art and animation. I'm giving this everything I can.

Hey thanks, nice alternative. I got JoyToKey now, hoping I can install it with the game when it's done...
The game is now playable, although the endings are not set yet. I have lots of animations to create and a few more things to tweak. Hopefully I won't run into problems in the next 2 weeks and the game will be able to enter the competition.
I'm still keeping it secret for a while, but I'll post a title screen soonish.
^_^ THIS IS FUN ^_^

All I can say is that it's.... ... and that I won't be seeing people much until the end of January.

I'm aaaalmoooost done! I think tomorrow, version 0.69 will be Gold Candidate! It's not a master piece, but I'm proud of what I managed to do in such little time and with my simple programming skills.

Great work on the art style, it looks very well put together. You should maybe consider taking this a bit further (sound/music/score) and seeing about a sponsorship or something. It could definitely go that route.

It could definitely go that route. Thanks aeiowu, I'll definitely think about that. Maybe I'll submit it to Flash Game License or something, it'll be a good practice run before I do it for a big game. i loved this game! did not expect to see a 1-button gamma game about chemical imballance. hits pretty close to home.
Thanks Fish! If my coding skills were a bit more advanced I would have made the brain react more clearly to the emotions and thoughts, and have more than the good/bad endings depending on what happened during the day. Maybe I'll do another game about that someday!

Yeah, this could definitely go somewhere I loved it, but playing was a bit of an information overload. I was trying to observe all the silly sayings in cute graphics at once, but they just went by too fast!
