I'm making a game and its like LoZ styled, I was thinking the name Pixel Kingdom but my friend didn't like that. Aghh 3 days and no luck. I really want to start a blogger site for my game, but it needs a title first. Haha. I wish this wasn't an issue for me, to make names. But it is. Ha. Good news, got most of the source done, then I can start the game :DD

why not relate it to the story, that usually tends to help.

List out a bunch of words or names related to your game, and pick several at random. Go from there.

I always pick terrible names for my games. Good game names are rare in general though, even in the mainstream industry.

The mainstream industry just needs to pick one decent name, then reuse it for as long as possible by adding different numbers after it.

Try to pick a name that will give a complete stranger some idea about what your game is like. Don't name it after a nonsense word, for example, even if that name has significance within the game's storyline. If it doesn't mean anything to a stranger on the internet, they have no reason to click on that link to check it out.

Honestly, I wouldn't sweat it. Names aren't immutable, you know, so if you end up hating the name you choose down the road then you're free to change it (and purging all noticable vestiges of the old name only takes about a half hour of work). I'm not saying you should put off the decision, but it's nothing to stress over. :-)
Also, why don't you just start a blogger site for your games (as a whole)? That way, once you start pumping out the games, you can keep everything (like dev progress and stuff) under one roof, and that way you're not spreading your viewerbase across multiple different sites. Less work, more return, more time to make more games.

I was just thinking the other day actually, that games used to have such cool names. Actraiser? Castlevania? Kickle Cubicle? They always seemed to stick with me for some reason. Today it seems there are so many "_________ of ________" titles. But maybe it's just nostalgia speaking.

Haha, yeah, I know there were plenty of ________ of ________ games back then too (Prince of Persia, etc), but nowadays the titles just don't seem as much fun. Again, it's probably just nostalgia clouding my judgment. The names just seem like they used to be so...I don't know, iconic?

Try poorly translated. ;-) (or they didn't care if the words went together grammatically...naming's actually a lot more freeing that way)

Hehe, that's true. Maybe if I ever make a game I'll just poorly translate it to some language on purpose, haha. There were some great old game names. Abadox, Xevius, Dig Dug, Faxanadu, etc.

A lot of NDS games went crazy with subtitles using "DS". Dual Strike. Dawn of Sorrow. Devil Survivor. I'm sure there were more but I don't remember.

This title generator can come up with some pretty amusing titles. Here's a few cool ones I got with it: The Savior's Servant The Vision of the Sparks Thorn of Servants The Thief's Doors The Laughing Savior Roses in the Dying Elemental Secret The Dreamer's Emerald The Hunter's Ashes The Birth of the Illusion The Sons of the End The Silken Soul The Splintered Rose The Moon's Wings The Forgotten Winter The Thief's Game Absent Moons Fallen Fire
