I made a game for GGJ and I think it's pretty OK.

It's a twin-stick shooter (well it's not really twin-stick since it's WASD + mouse but you get the idea) where enemies get your powerups.

It is about addiction and letting things spiral out of control before finally crashing down on you.

I am posting this here because I am trying to be proactive about taking part in communities.

played for 5 minutes, haven't figured out what powerups do. if the game was intended to make me feel hopeless, well done

Ah, should have clarified:

red = more bullets
green = go faster
blue = bullets move faster and further

Got around 987 on my last run. Serious slowdown by that point.

So I guess if you didn't pick up any powerups, you could keep going pretty much indefinitely? Seems the arena would be choked with unavoidable powerups though.

That, and waves spawn faster and faster every time - if you don't pick up enough reds and blues, you won't be able to finish a wave off before the next one comes along, and so on.

Also the amount of points you get for each kill is how many powerups you've picked up.
