Here's a game I made for an art exhibition here in Sweden. It's about the stereotypical hillbilly living up in Norrland (northern parts of sweden). I might update it again although it's officially released as a finished project, so feedback is welcome! Pack some beer, your fishing pole, a hunting rifle and everything else you need for a nice hunting trip in the wilderness of Sweden's north side. It's time to shoot some animals, row some boats, climb some trees and catch some fishes. Watch out for blood thirsty mosquitos and close encounters with the angry wildlife. At night you'll make a fire and dream the strangest dreams as you sleep under the starry skies.

Oh mannn, I think the best part of this game is that it manages to be intense and mundane at the same time, and avoids the banality it's trying to represent. Fine line to walk! Loved the gun reloading, thought it was a perfect illustration of that boringness. I'm not sure who was asking the questions at the end.
spoiler: is it the guy who kills himself at the end or is it YOU(cactus) who really kills him?? troubled times!

This is the best cactus game. But how does this: I think games should be allowed to contain rape, but I don't think exploitive games focused on letting the player commit rapes should be allowed.
Something meaningful that contains disgusting material is one thing, but RapeLay is rape porn. As far as I know, porn is pretty much considered a separate entity from normal productions in all medias.
square up with releasing a game where you have to fuck a moose corpse?

Fucking a dead animal and beating and raping a woman are two very different things. Also, fucking the moose is neither obligatory nor central to the game as a whole. So I see no contradiction there...

i don't think banging a moose corpse is means the game is 'exploitive' and 'focused on letting the player commit rapes'

I really enjoyed this. It was very different. I didn't know you could fuck a moose corpse, makes me wonder if I missed anything else on my first playthrough.
I especially liked how dramatic the reloading was.

Okay. I didn't mean the earlier post as like blaming you for being inconsistent or anything, I just thought that maybe there was an inconsistency there. Anyway awesome game.

From the trailer this looks like norrland is a revision of under the garden, though that from the hunting sections of the trailer other than that looks like fun.

Yeah, I noticed that Under the Garden seems pretty similar, probably just a coincidence, aside from us both probably being inspired by superbrothers. Norrland was finished about two months ago though, and the trailer for the game was released a few days later. So if anyone's a copycat here, it's not me Also, Norrland is more about the minigames and the hunting bit just ties them together to a creepy experience, while Under the Garden seems to be a survival game with interesting gameplay.

No lives, you must have selected quit by mistake... Or there's a bug that hasn't been encountered before..

Tried it again just for a run through, found a few things I had missed before.
Out of curiousity, I entered NEJ over and over, and then suddenly the game crashed.
...so I guess I won?

NEJ means no in Swedish, and as far as I know it should not crash because of that, but I've only played the finished game a handful of times, so there might be a bug I haven't caught yet. You were only seconds away from the final screen anyway

This was quite the experience. I just replayed it and found a couple 'hidden' interactions and thought they complimented the game nicely. Out of all the NSFW elements, the interrogation was the most unsettling bit.

Lol the art style is incredibly abstract dude, the art detail is the kind of aesthetic i dig from indie games of this type. It has this weird but electic feel dude. Bout to give it a go, I'll update you on the game.

I get stuck on the bird dream. if you hover over the water long enough, it will go away. just stay on the same screen for a bit longer and land when the water disappears
