Bugs: Lights and Shadows is a puzzle platformer where you play with light and shadow to solve interesting puzzles on a micro-cosmos environment. Your macro objective in the game is to restore the illumination of the bugs world.

Here is a link to download the prototype: http://www.alephgames.com.br/downloads/bugs_lights_shadows_112610.zip (~20MB)
And a video of the first level gameplay:

You control two different insects that have to coop in order to solve the puzzles: a firefly and an ant.
The firefly's light is the main artefact that you have in your control, casting light or shadows to interact with the world.
The ant helps the firefly with its own abilities, for example by carrying itens or pushing things to cast shadows at the right  place.

The gameplay is solely by the mouse, as the game focus in solving puzzles and wants to give an affordable interface to the casual player and at the same time being attractive to the core user.

The game has entered the IGF 2011 competition.

We value the community feedback, so if You can get a time to play our prototype version and give feedback we'll really appreciate it.
Some of the most interesting feedback could be credited in the final version of the game!

The game is in a alpha stage, so be a little bit patient Smiley

Thanks

I haven't tried the game (i'm on Linux at the moment) but from the video the graphics look really nice.

The video looks a bit jerky though, what did you use to record it?  If you try fraps it might give you a better framerate.

Yes, the video is a little bit jerky.

We used screenr, but it's a good idea to try fraps.

Thanks
