Hey, I started a new blog on gamasutra. For my first post I decided to ramble about space exploration games. No, not a no man's sky review, I haven't even played that yet.

Can I share a link here or would that be considered self advertising? I mean, it is self advertising, obviously! but it's also a subject of interest, so I don't know.

Dumb forum question,

Wasn't there a sub-forum for release announcements? Or did I just dream that?

If not, what is the proper place on the forums for release announcements?

Too bad you haven't play NMS because the main problem is truly not the generated scenary (which, as far as voxel, seamless and real time generation goes, is the current state of the art). The problem is continuing meaning and interaction. Space tourist are largely satisfy with the game. Gamplay is a problem because he come in the way of tourist who mod the game to get rid of it, while being too shallow for "gamer".

Also for procedural generation you don't want simulation, you want correlation, it's easier to find the mountain that support the river than the other way around.

Nothing is more infuriating than dropping my tablet pen. I just had to duct tape the damn thing because I've dropped it so much it's cracked in several places. My hands "lock up" for a few seconds or go through bouts where they are weak and shake from the nerve problems and it just drops right out of my hand. It drives me crazy... Huh?

Though mine's black with no easily identifiable markings it is now taped up with pink duct tape with rainbow unicorns and hearts all over it (it was the only duct tape I could find around the house at the moment). I suspect it will be a little easier for me to locate now.

Also, WA state is fucking cooking right now. Yeah, I know it could be worse (I used to live in Las Vegas, NV) but this shit is just a wall of heat pressing against your body.

Have you considered using some kind of wristband? Might be worth a shot, if you manage to attach it in a way that doesn't interfere with your drawing...
