PROGRESS

-Ive been Working on the last three characters all at the same time, and making good progress.


Trilby using his 'Grolly' spin attack
Xoda doing her flip...spin...kick...thing...
Dishwasher taking damage


More depth to the basic melee attacks.

- Instead of pressing the attack button 3 times and getting the same combo, The basic  melee combo will change depending on how far you are from your opponent.
adding a bit more depth to the ground melee.

Since I havent played the Dishwasher Dead Samurai in ages I forgot how the stage looked
but I played it and got it right this time.

I'm still going to edit the stage theme a bit, the drums seem a bit loud.

I'm also currently working on a hyper attack system just to give the game more depth

PROGRESS

Hyper Specials

Hyper Specials are a more powerful version of each characters basic special attack for the most part.
Once the blue gauge is full, the Hyper special will replace the basic special and the blue gauge will then become empty.

Each character will have only one, I really would like to give them more then one but I'm not trying to kill myself with this fan game.


Background fades to black


Barkley preforms a 'Mini Chaos Dunk'


Dishwasher wasn't that close so the damage wasn't too high


But he will suffer some burn damage

Ive also changed the resolution again so now the sprites look more vibrant.

This game wont take much to finish. all in all

Yup! all graphics and programming are entirely done by me.
And yeah I'm extremely motivated. This game will be completed, and look very polished...unless I die or sumthin...

  I've just been doing a bit of polishing

   - new particle effects
   - edited some of the music
   - cleaned up the hyper special system
   - added more depth to some of the special attacks

PROGRESS

Ive changed the demo a bit


- Closer Zooming

After screwing around with the zooming function over and over...and over Ive decided it should zoom in close (Like how it does in the videos). The sprites look better without the extra close zoom, but the combat feels better when the camera gets up close.

- Less Shakiness

eh, I just set global.shake from 12 to 6, now the screen wont fly around as much.


the fact that you have Barkley in this makes it insta-buy for me, this looks RAAAAAAAAAD

last 3 hyper special (coded only)

Naija - Dual Form : Naija and Li join forces. First firing  projectiles in Li's form, then screaming a shockwave in Naija's form.

Trilby - John Defoe : Touches the cursed African Idol and becomes the unstopable menace John Defoe, you have full control of John Defoe for a short time.

Xoda - Combolt Battery : Hops on a combolt battery, you have full range motion in the air, and fire a flurry of combolt beams.


HOW AM I DOING THIS SO QUICK ?

1. I don't procrastinate
2. People douted this project, So I'm fueled by anger, which works for a fighter.
3. Not too many animation frames. But I do detail the sprites the best I can.

to anyone who cares.
Also I work 2 jobs in hospitalty, which might raise more question.

Not procrastinating is probably the hardest part of game design. Also, being fueled by anger, while not best for your health, might give you a driving force. I need to make games angry more. Smiley
