We have recently published our first proper game for Android devices. Thanks to Unity, going multiplatform is a piece of cake (we still have some issues with Back and Home buttons, but I hope I'll solve them soon) so it will be probably available for iOS at some point.
Knowing that monetization in Google Play is not that easy, we opted for a free game with adds on Android devices - ChartBoost fullscreen interstitials. And being our first contact with Google Play we decided to go for a quite casual gameplay:
- Keep fruits balanced on the board by tilting your device. The longer you keep them balanced, the higher the score.
- Group three or more fruits of the same kind to squish them and prevent their numbers from building up. The more you squish, the higher the score.
So it's some kind of Match3 game mixed with physics.
And finally, a feature we found interesting: geolocalized leaderboards! We teamed up with Geosophic (
http://www.geosophic.com), a young startup that offers geolocalized services. It's fun knowing you are the best in your city, region, country... or the whole world!
If you try it (it's free, why not?), please share your thoughts! It's the best way of learning how to create better games : )
