Come and try my 'Nuovo' game. Not that I would have labeled it such. Sure, 7GS is unique, but no more than any german board game. The rules are less complex than Monopoly, but nobody learns Monopoly from the rules.

So, yeah, you gotta actually pay attention to the tutorial, which takes about 5 minutes. The demo lasts about an hour and is re-playable.

If you don't mind my asking, how long does the full game last by comparison?

johnki,  I estimate 15-20 hours, depending upon how it's played. My last game stuck to the laborer's track. Took 26 generations to reach the end. Am currently playing through the artisan track, and it's taking about the same amount of time.

The fastest way may be through the ruling track, but you have to be really good at the ruling, mini-games.

Also I should say this. For a more challenging play-through, start a non-tutorial, new game. Without the tutorial's advantages, the game is quite a bit harder.

FYI, there's been some nice press about the game, so far.
