CHANGEMINDEDIT: I now agree with this guy: I'd vote for leaving that lock static but using the bouncy top spikes from JLJac's.
And also I agree with JLJac about the whole chin/neck stuff. I don`t know about the head bobbing, tho.

For the sake of voicing an opinion, I think Yami's hair is more in keeping with the source sprite and I like the look of it, just not with the front animated. I'd vote for leaving that lock static but using the bouncy top spikes from JLJac's. As for the head movement, I'm afraid JLJac's looks really unnatural to me. The front to back movement from Yami is a lot less obvious and I think it'll settle in as part of the general motion of the sprite once it's actually in the game. Some things that seem huge while working on the sprite will never actually be noticed in-game I'm sure a lot of it's down to personal preference, but I'm sure we can all agree that between the two there's a really polished final animation that's potentially only a few edits away

On another note, adressing Soulliard: When contacting Nic, would it be totally inconvinient for me to send the mail?
It might be better for him to get the second mail from the person he got the first from, so just say so if it's not OK. But I've been thinking of sending him a fan mail thanking him for LiCS for some time now, and it can't be wrong to butter him up a little along with it, could it? Of course I could show it to you before sending it.

To perhaps come to an agreement, I decided to add the line between the head and the neck as requested. However, I will stand firm with the head movement. I also made changes to the hair, being that I did not like the other one.

I think the head movement looks weird/bad and makes him look like a pigeon.

You have to take into count that he will be moving while that plays though... EditWhat about this one then?

We're closing in on each other. I'm beginning to think this will come to an happy end after all. They are pratically exactly the same, except from your hair being more wobbly while mine is more stiff. It has become a question of hair.Let's start argue about it so we get it owerwith :D In my version I am moving the shading while the shape of the hair remains the same. I think it's better becuase stiff hair is closer to the original Soulliard: Is the adress in the LiCS readme file current?

The only problem I have with the moving hair is that the front lock appears as though it's stretching rather than shaking. Other than that I'm all over the idea of 'wobbling' hair; while stiff hair is, technically, truer to the source it was in a res that was incapable of showing movement on such a small scale

In mine the neck is two dots instead of three. The shading on the shirt is not the exact same, I believe my line blinds a bit more with the shirt. In the frame where his neck appear is when I have the hair change. The shade changes to make it look as if his hair is bouncing up with him. While technically yours more or less moves unevenly compared to the idle hair.

At this point, we're really splitting hairs. They're almost exactly the same. If I had to choose, though, I'd go with the first. That one hair in the front looks really bizarre in the second sprite. Soulliard: Is the adress in the LiCS readme file current? No idea. I'd check his website, but it seems to be down at the moment.

I vote the one on the left. For anyone to have hair that spiky they'd have to be using like gel or something, which doesn't really lend itself to a bouncy, phallic fringe.
