Sup All? I'm Filip, and I'm a writer. I seek as many leveling up opportunities as possible, and want to lend my talents to whomever will have them, in order to hone my skills. I am currently doing Narrative Design for a small indie game company. I am learning a lot throughout the entire process, and wish to apply those new found attributes to some other projects...I figure this way I can continuously improve and also network with other passionate up-and-coming designers. I do voiceover as well. I have only have some commercial samples available for listening, but I desire to branch out and make my bones doing character work the most.

Hi everyone, my name is Nick. Nice to meet you all.

I am currently developing Irritum, my first indie game, all by myself. I will be posting an announcement for the free alpha later on, and more information will be there.

I hope everyone can enjoy my game, and offer suggestions to build this game better.

See you all soon!

Hi Everyone!

I'm Cole, 25y old indie dev based in the UK. I've been creating games for about 2 years now. My best effort to date is probably MegaCity, which is a city building puzzle game.

Studied illustration at uni, but I've always been very mechanically minded aswell, hence why I love making games.

I've spent a lot of time designing for mobile devices, but being a PC gamer at heart I'm looking to turn more towards that in the future. I love games with strategic depth, stuff like FTL, CoH and Total War. I'm often far too ambitious with my projects, but I like it that way Wink

Loving the direction indie games are taking the industry, so I'd love to become part of that in some small way.

Very much looking forward to checking out all of your projects!

Hi all. I thought I had posted in here previously but my profile says I've got 0 posts.

So I'm Kyle Newton. I live in Vernon, BC, Canada. I've dabbled in game development since before I graduated high school in 2001 but never seriously pursued them. Years ago I used to be an active member of the Slick Java game library forums. Aside from Twitter I've been fairly hermit'y lately.

I've got one Android (libgdx) game in active development and another couple (one libgdx, another Unity3D) kind of idling.

In addition to my Twitter account, you can find out more about me at my personal website or at my game development site.

Hey Kyle and others, my name's Zack. I've been working on the art and design for my first game, called Cafe Murder, for the past two years.

It's finally coming out next week (on the App Store). Wish us luck!

Whoops! Skipped this thread and posted somewhere else.
Now I know this is here I guess it's time to introduce myself.

I'm Jamie, a programmer (of sorts) from New Zealand, with a passion for any game that features AI and anything that involves physics.

I start many games, and finish very few! Some of them can be found on android phones.

I did actually work in the games industry at one point (i.e. there exists a game on Steam with my name buried somewhere in the credits) but these days I sit around coding random things and never publishing them.
I've been a bit absent the last six months and I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things, and TIG seems like a great place to hang out and be inspired.

It's great to be a gamer these days with so many indie games underway, I get as much enjoyment out of reading the devblogs as I do playing the games.

I have a tendency to post once or twice and then vanish, so if you haven't seen me in a while do send me a PM to get me back!

Anyway hello /wave

Looking forward to browsing all the great work going on here and perhaps participating!

Hi all,

I'm Tara, and I live in Wilmette. I'm jut getting into the creation side of gaming. I've played game since I was in first grade probably, starting with Pokemon Red and then Majora's mask. I've never made a game before, but I've cranked out a handful of prototypes (One of which I plan on expanding). I'm eager to start working at this, and I'm glad to be joining the community.

Hi Guys,
I'm Beck, I've been making games for a while not, I started toying with it in middle school and since then I've gone to college for it and spent a sizeable amount of my free time making stuff! I am a huge enthusiast of making interesting experiences, and I'm hoping that by getting more active in the community I can get a bit better at it Smiley

Some of my work from college is on my website http://www.becksebenius.com and my old blog archive sits at http://www.becksketch.com. I don't post on it all that much lately, I've been thinking of starting fresh although I haven't had the right motivation yet to do so.

Anyways, looking forward to meeting and talking to all of you!

Hello TIGSource Community !

Well, we are Qilin Eggs, a two persons team that begin making games. Well, we are not yet indie gamedev, but who knows, it could happens a day.

Actually there is me, Godjam, coder and pixel artist and Husni, coder, guitar hero and personal semi-god.
You can find us on :

The most influential games for me are Valve's : Portal 1&2, Left4Dead and Half Life 2.
In a more indie point of view : Cave story (maybe the first I played), World of goo (maybe the first I knew as "Indie"), Terraria, Minecraft, and many others (sorry Mr Derek, I don't cite Spelunky ^^).

If a day we make a game as good as one of them, so OK we made my life ^^. Maybe another important thing to point it's we DO NOT have a mustache.

See ya all and thank you to read.

Yows this is a big thread. I am Tom, I love games since my Dad got me a BBC micro. I have been building incomplete games for 20 years. The game I played the longest is Rogue/Moria/Zangband. Only managed to complete it a couple of times! Phoar, that is a game with depth I Can tell you!

I also like real time strategy like Supreme Commander. Now I work too much I don't get to play so much Sad No more AAA titles for me. Now I like Flash games and indie titles as short distraction.

Anyway, I work in research, I am bored of my job, so am trying to put those 20 years of failed attempts into practice and get my ticked out of academia. I co-founded Edinburgh Hacklab, and we ran a game writing month. That was hard but seeded the path I am now on .... unless I do something else :s I am a engineering/sonar/vision/AI specialist so I can program in pretty much any direction, the only problem is I don't know where I want to go....

32 years old, I feel time ticking.

Hello beautiful people,

My name is Felipe and I'm a brazilian student. I'm 23 and my 24th birthday is just around the corner (June 13th). That's me on the avatar picture.
I play games since 1994. My first game was Cadillac Dinosaurs, the arcade version, during a trip to Portugal. Since then, I was fascinated with pressing buttons and making things move on screen.
I wanted to make games, but after reading in a magazine that I needed to be good at and like math, I gave up. This was in 1999. After this, I started messing with videomaking.
Last year, I decided to follow my old dream and started by learning GameMaker. The indie games that we all love were responsible for giving me back confidence enough to do that.

I joined the TIGSource today to see the games that people like me are making and to get feedback on whatever I try to do. A couple of weeks ago, after doing the inital tutoriais, I started doing my first game and I'll post it when it's playable. My girlfriend likes to draw, so I'm teaching her how to use Photoshop, so she can be my partner Smiley

Now, I'll try some games!

Not sure if this is the right post for this kinda thing considering I used to hang around here for a little while way back in 2010/2011

But I might as well I guess? My name's Quincy and I'm 16 years old, my goal is to eventually end up making cool looking things for cool sounding games!

Nice to re-meet you all!

Greetings, fellow developers of games and game-like things.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in the May of last year, majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in game development. I currently have a great job working full-time as a software developer building serious and educational interactive games and software, and in my off-hours, I co-run a (very small, brand new) game development studio with my fellow CS graduates. Our current project is a top-down, 2D action game, a project which I serve as the leader of and lead designer on, and which we as a company are working on in collaboration with a few other young, talented professionals. Our goal is to open up an Indiegogo fund once we're at a state where we can start putting out demos and trailers (It would be irresponsible of us to show off something that isn't yet in a playable state Tongue ), travel around to and from low-key gaming events to get in playtest sessions and player feedback, and hopefully get the finished thing released on Steam and other content distribution platforms.

Ultimately, my dream is to one day work in the video game industry as a designer in a position where I have a fair amount of creative and technical freedom.

That's the business-y part of me. As for the personal part of me, I'm a lover of games old and new; my favourites range from Demon's Souls to Sonic the Hedgehog to The Binding of Isaac to The Legend of Zelda series to Deus Ex. I am a lover of film--such as Blade Runner, Touch of Evil, Chinatown, The Matrix, Memento, and the Christopher Nolan Batman saga--as well as comic books (Yeah, typically of the superhero variety, although I love others, too Tongue ) and television (Favourite currently-running shows are Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and Hannibal). I like to consider myself a futurist and a transhumanist.

Recently, I've been attempting to teach myself how to draw better, as well as gain a better understanding of music theory and composition. Even though I am a well-developed programmer, I believe that there is no reason for the development of my skillset to stop there; there is always room to improve, and there is always room to learn new things.

Anyway, I signed up on this site hoping to make new contacts, meet new friends, learn from other designers and programmers, and maybe even forge new professional partnerships. I look forward to enjoying my time at this site.

HELLO BOYS

I'm BlueFeena.  I hail from the great land of Sven-Coop, where I was a Half-Life mapper for some 6 to 7 years or so.  Unsurprisingly, mapping and level design is my main background.

My final work, Momma Mesa, was included as an official level in the Sven Coop mod.  Its fate is a little uncertain at the moment, as the map was made for the SC 3.0 hayday (recent mod changes left the map crippled, although I made a push two years ago to update and modernize the level.)

I also worked on a few unreleased DOOM wads, one was for the failed(?) Zdaemon game mode, "Kill the Cyberdemon".

Pleased to make your acquaintance everybody; hopefully we'll all have a RIPPING GOOD TIME.
