So today's big deal is that I'm going to be finishing up the combat for the demo. It's been a long time coming, sure, but I need those demos out there so people can play it and check it out.

The biggest thing is that I've figured out how to heal yourself in combat.

Use any word with the letters H, E, A, L, and you will heal yourself an amount based on the length of your words.

So our biggest challenge lately has been fixing the combat to make sure the skills work as directed. With Sharpened Wit, I'm REEEEALLY close to fixing the bugs like the letters not moving as they fall, etc.

The game looks cool.  Not really my sort of thing, but I can see it being popular among people who like this sort of game.

I think you should probably show more of the actual game in your Kickstarter trailer.  Could just be me though.

I know it's a lot of work, but one thing I thought of when looking at your game, was that it might be more exciting if you changed the Attack button.  I think clicking the attack button should make you feel like you're attacking rather than just pushing a button (if that makes any sense).  Something as simple as moving the attack button to be over the actual enemy might make it seem more like you're actually fighting.  Or, maybe at least, just giving people the option to click on the actual enemy to attack.  I think it would make the game seem more exciting.

In any case, good luck with the Kickstarter.

Hey thanks! I'll take that feedback into consideration. I'm always looking at more ways to make the fighting more dynamic and fun.

We just got featured on IndieStatik!

The newest thing I'm working on today is HEALing. That means, using H,E,A,L as the letters to start your word to heal damage on your character. Like most things in APEXICON, it will be affected by word length and class skills, offensive and defensive items.
