I still think they're pulling a fucking huge joke, they're actually working for EA on The Sims 3.
Which has nukes and post-apocalyptic stuff.
And it's actually Fallout 3.
Yes, now I see the connections. How could we miss them for so long?

Fallout 3 is a fan-made Oblivion TC that just happens to be a stand-alone... somehow. If I don't think like that I get depressed.

After reading those posts, that screenshot looked to me like a post-apocalyptic The Sims.
Video games need more mashups.

What I've seen of fallout 3 looks more like a unreal tournament 2003 mod to me :D

I blame Casual Cammie for this E3 That woman scares the crap out of me. She's also not terribly good at her job, since she's just alienating us 'hardcorez'. I have to wonder what the rest of the world thinks of her.

From what I heard. most people are disappointed Bethesda is making it, and worry it may suffer like TES did. I still have naive optimist. Go Deus Ex 3!

Yes. Also, not having played Oblivion would probably lead to excitement too.

No, because it would be way too simple compared to Fallout 1 and 2, like Oblivion is compared to the rest of TES.

Also see this, for a good FAQ, and this, for a thread about a guy that seems to make complaining about Bethesda a hobby. Informative, though.

Get an emulator. then again, i could never stand top=down isometric north-american RPGs. sell me the old fallouts. whats so great about them?
What other isometric north american RPGs are you thinking of? Fallout is incredibly violent and bloody (if you want it to be). '50s post apocalypse. Two-headed cows. Different character types experience different games. A big open map to explore, and lots of mini-missions.

You can sell your pals to slaves. And convince the last bosses to commit suicide. And the motherfucking deathclaws And polished turn based strategy battles And delicious descriptions for some things on the tiny console And the possibility of growing a sixth toe And arm wrestling with mutants And the brain-in-a-jar robots And the whole 50's references Also, i could never stand top=down isometric north-american RPGs. You missed one of the best games ever (Planescape: Torment) if you have that much of a prejudice. And guys, we all know that FO3 is actually called Arcanum.

I haven't been able to play Arcanum since I got a new motherboard . Lovely game but god it doesn't work on 90% of modern computers. I liked making 2 rings of dexterity (I think that came out to a +4) and wielding a lightning sword. Cleft through those magic-using pussies left and right. Also fun drinking potions that increased your intelligence right before levelling so you could get higher level schematics without the actual intelligence to do so. Also, if you haven't played either of the Fallout games and Planescape, and beaten atleast one of them, then you aren't a man.
