DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Planet Mexulta STORY TIMEPlanet Mexulta is the next distant world in the galaxy of Nikra, it has juicy lush pink grass, and soft nutritious soil. Sadly, life never began on the planet, because it's so young. But a civilisation known as the Modviq, living on a planet orbiting a star next to Mexulta's star, discovered the planet had a very very unique trait. The whole planet was surging with static and electrolytes. This is exactly what they needed. A few Modviq engineers and adventurers set base in the trough and banks, to the right of a giant mountain. This was where the concentration of energy was highest. They constructed an ancient machine called the Heptagate. A portal to Omwarn, a dimension beyond time and space.  ~ ~ ~
When the child of Nenoux set foot from the Boldemo cube, they saw the machine in the distance...
Surrounded by ruins.

Your pixel art is really impressive. The story snippet you provided does a good job of shedding more light on the world while still keeping an air of mystique. Looking forward to more updates!

 Make the game you want to make. I couldn't agree with this more. You are going through something that I also went through not long ago. I introduce two women into my last game, one was conservative and confident, and the other was sexy and intelligent- despite giving them both major roles, much of my Tumblr audience could only focus on how unrealistic the dress of the sexy character was and said it was a disappointment and they were unfollowing my game. Do game dev for you and you only. The corporate guys are they guys that bury their visions to make games that sell. By making the game YOU want to make, you will find YOUR audience, one that will just love just about everything you make and not have you bending over backwards just to keep them happy. Both styles look fine, it's natural for people to get comfortable with something and of course if you change it they will miss what they are familiar with. Push on brother. |

Thanks man Also, I do have to say that that 'sexy' character of yours does seem to be showing a holy-mother-of-lord amount of cleavage Not a bad design, but I guess I see both sides of what you described there Best of luck! |

That almost sounds like a jab, haha, but I agree, especially with the comparison. True black (or a truer one now), and slightly enhanced contrast, plus the more natural lights=yellower/darks=bluer transition, really all combined has produced a fantastic effect. |
