Hello, my name is Gavin Jones of Drunk Devs. I’ve been putting out games for a few years now, and I’m best known for my work on
A Man’s Quest,
Full Moon Rising, and
Destroy The Porn (which was recently featured on
).
Volcano level For months now I’ve been working on a bigger project, and I’m am currently looking for a pixel artist to work on the project with me. The game will be released for free, so I can’t pay you, but it’s a somewhat big, goofy project that will be fun to work on, and I like to think of myself as someone who is fun to work with.
Floating temple Let me give you the elevator pitch:
In Beer And Glory, beer is your weapon. Travel the universe as an anthropomorphic beer keg on a quest to gather the finest ingredients and brew the greatest beer of all time. Visit faraway planets, battling challenging enemies and bosses to gain unique weapons and abilities, before taking on the epic final boss. Play the levels again in a new order to experience different levels as well as unique weapons/abilities.
Ice planet
Specs:
Platform: Windows
Genre: 2d Platformer shooter
Length: 45- 60 minutes. 5 levels long with plenty of replayability
Input: Mouse and keyboardCastle world Now for a little more detail. The game will start you off with the choice of 4 levels (similar to Megaman, you can choose the order you complete the levels). After beating the 4 standard levels you gain access to the final level, which ends in a climactic three stage boss battle. This gets extra interesting when you replay the game with a different level order. The order in which you play the levels changes the level layout, enemy placement, and powerups/upgrades you will see on your journey. This leads to the game having 4 different versions of each of the standard 4 levels (an easy, medium, hard, veteran version of each), 17 different primary weapons, and 16 secondary abilities. All total you would have to play the game a minimum of 12 times to see all the different weapons/abilities and levels. I have played this game more than anyone, and it has still yet to get repetitive for me.
Some of the weapons and abilities I personally feel that this game is special because of the unique gameplay, unique story, and unique progression, and I know others will feel that way too once they play it. If you are a truly passionate pixel artist looking for a fun and exciting game to work on, I would love to have you on the project with me.
Some of the bosses Feel free to message me through tigsource, or send me an email at
[email protected] if you are interested in working on the project. I would need to see some art samples or examples of work you have done to be considered. I also have a full working version of the game with all the major features so you can play it before you decide to work on it. (though it’s currently missing is art, sound, music, and achievements).
