Instead of simply extracting part of The Path as a trial version, we have made an extra chapter, entitled The Path - Prologue. It's similar to a certain part in the full game, but not the same. It should give everyone a good idea of the atmosphere of the game and the technical requirements. Have a look.

Checking this out. Also, you should release the demo on Steam, if possible. Ah, right, it's already being added.

Played through the demo for a while, and , well, I'm not sure what to say about it, because I imagine all that's in there is perfectly intended. But I have to say telling people that they have to collect more than a hundred objects seems like you're telling them to go on a fetch quest, and might turn people off too soon. I did persevere and explore, and I found some of the pieces of more interesting scenery strewn around the forest. I imagine you wanted the objects to act like a trail of breadcrumbs? Still, more than a hundred might be pushing it.

Haha. Welcome to The Path! It's not about collecting things at all. If you think so, you should probably not buy the game. I guess that's bad advertising, but it saves us all from disappointment.

It should be there later today.

I'm actually thinking of buying because I'm intrigued by it. It's obviously something unique. Now that I know it should run well in my comp I have little reason not to.

I'd encourage you to! The Path is not for everyone. But if it happens to be "for you" then you're in for a very special experience!

you don't have to collect them, i didn't -- some people do. i think it's to encourage exploring every part of the forest, similar to how it worked in seiklus

The thing is that they give positive feedback to the player for collecting the flowers, and tell him how many exist. It makes me assume that something important should happen should I collect all flowers. Is this what you guys are going for? To weed out the kinds of people who would feel compelled to collect all the flowers and bore them so they don't get disappointed at buying the full game? Kinda seems that way.

I guess its above 100 because 144 is such an awesome number. It's a gross, a dozen dozens. The combined ages of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins at the start of Lord of the Rings.

one of their old games was named 144 i think -- it's unfinished, i presume it was cause of that game. or maybe the game was '8' -- some number anyway

"144" Was the original title of The Path. It is a spiritual sequel to the never finished "8". It's mostly just because it's an interesting number. But it's nice that 6 times 24 equals 144 (6 days).

YES! This is why we need to count in base 12. 2*2*3*2*2*3!
