| Verse Zero: Calm
The void is not a place; it is a lack of all form and location. Within the void I'll find no face, no person, nobody, no evocation of sense or of thought yet from this void is wrought a great fragment of something firm, quite physical, real. This fragment confirms that some great ordeal shall take place but not now -- and it's not mine to know how -- for now is no time, and here is no space. I know I am home; this is no race. |
Let us explore the world through poetry that acts as many things: - A creative outlet for Droqen's craziness <--- THIS ONE (ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M ON THE DAMN BUS)
- Teaser image... context
- Some form of countdown (except it's a countup and only I know when it must stop!)
- Hints about the game among red herrings?
- Some possibly-interesting sortofbackstory to Starseed Pilgrim

It's coming :3 Be patient. Don't worry, I will not let it drag on for months and years and months and weeks (well, maybe weeks) and months.
edit :: also I know I've been saying 'be patient' a lot and that's because I am working on this kinda slowly :D I have had some people try it and they said they played it a bunch while it wasn't even complete and that was pretty dang cool so I bet the whole game when complete is going to be even nicer. Yay. (it's 3 am i should not write anything at 3 am ... unless it rhymes)
besides what else am i gonna do with all this crazy T_T
edit 2 :: hahaha mokesmoe. That's alright, it can be... a rap... about calmness.

I read your poem like it was a rap. It was more entertaining, but kind of defeats the whole calm theme.

You... You let people beta test it?... I- I feel betrayed, Droqen Also, the poem is infinitely better as a rap.

| Verse One: Idea
My thoughts are born anew, again, and I do not know where or when I am or how I got here.
An endless expanse is spread before me, lying ready, all of it for me; I know not yet what I'll cultivate, but be it fear or love or hate I know it shall be mine.
An idea is a seed and a seed must grow. And grow.
And grow.
| Status. I'm working on this (... duh). There is a lot to work on. Some more people have tried it, and while they seem to be enjoying it, they can also tell that it is not quite done. It isn't. There is so much for me to add to be discovered, and yet there is so little... What I am adding will be so simple! It will also be sort of complex. This game is definitely an exploration game of sorts, even though a lot of it is also... slow-arcadey. What am I talking about? I hope this sounds appealing over appalling.

I will say only this about the unfinished portion of the game I played: It is VERY fun. And VERY awesome. And you should be VERY excited to play it.

Well yeah super pissed on now because I didn't get picked as beta testator. Been here as membership for at least one weak and made at least about ten elite comments (also two at minimum to this computer game) which would indeed make me a most accurate playtest candidate for this extraordinary piece of craftmanswork.

| Verse Two: Act!
Now is now a time for action, for aiming high, for landing steady. We are sons and daughters of adrenaline; we are ready.
There is no star beyond our reach. Know this, void: you we shall breach. There is much for us to learn and though you may refuse to teach...
Soon is soon a time for glory, for victory, for conquest, for fanfare. This is our triumphant story; we'll make it our land, our world, our not-so-empty place of white and grey of seeds and stars of toil and growth and treasures rare.
|
It's almost time for you to act, too... Some kind of demo thing will be put up soon showing some of what kind of shit can happen. Current plans are SECRET but going well. I'm sorry, though; I haven't been working on this as much I should be! Busy with dem schools and dem people and all that ):

| Verse Three: Love Daft Punk - Something About Us
I have a heart, I have desire; I've half a heart for half a mind; I've half a mind to go acquire that which my heart desires to find
but sometimes, sometimes i can make it all alone and on my own. I need not to, cannot fake it once the seeds are sown.
I'm all alone yet I'm reliant. All together we will fight. Against the dark I am defiant; against that darkness we'll make the light. |
Droqen, is there news or is this all?! There is, in fact, great news of progress and things like that. Also, a little sort of contest, should you be interested.

I'm sorry! ;_; You don't have to draw all that yourself! My game does it for me!!
edit :: Also, you don't have to make it all rough around the edges like mine or like mokesmoe's, but you're certainly welcome to do so :3 The home island is, after all, just a square...
