Ahoy there!

Robot Loves Kitty is looking for a Programmer to help us on our new game Upsilon Circuit.

Contract: Freelance, Full time
This will be freelance work, with future potential if the project etc. goes well.

Pay: Paid monthly
This is a 6+ month project, you would be paid monthly for the duration.

Ideal Skill-set
  • Unity in C#
  • Networking experience (in Lidgren is a plus)
  • SQL database integration (Forum integration is a plus)
  • GUI (using NGUI is plus)
  • (experience working on a team is a plus)

This project will involve some heavy networking with multiple kinds of clients and servers.

The Project:

Upsilon Circuit is an ambitious project that’s difficult to explain quickly. It’s a kind of online livestreaming gameshow action rpg with permadeath.

If that’s confusing, and it should be, check our blog post over here.

The Team:
We have been a small husband and wife videogame studio for 8 years. We are self taught, and only make games that we love. Currently our team is 4 people: Erin McClellan doing 3D art, David Dirig doing audio, and (us) Calvin programming / Alix game design.

Our previous projects include:
Legend of Dungeon
A 2.5D roguelike Beat-em-up, %650 kickstarter funded and released on Steam in 2013

Zap’em Dino Cowboys
A VR Jam entry with 2-4 person online play, combat arenas and dinosaur riding! 3 week version done in 2013

Neverdaunt:8Bit

An IGF 2011 Technical excellence award nominee, 3D MMO sandbox building game with a persistent world and unique experiences for every player. 2011

We would like to add in someone passionate/crazy to help speed up the project and to make the game extra super amazing.

Do NOT send us a boring resume with professional looking fonts, we will print it out and burn it. At least add some sparkly gifs to it so we can amuse ourselves while we read it.

If you’re interested please send an email to [email protected]
