The game looks great, nice work Smiley I don't know if someone said this already (I didn't read the entire thread) but I suggest that you add another word to the title of the game. The word "North" is pretty generic and google unfriendly by itself. An over simplistic title can hurt your marketing.

Thanks Davi, cool of you to say and provide some feedback. Always appreciated.

I'm partial to simple clean names: Limbo, Below, etc.

But I think you raise a good point. Case in point, Below is really "What lies Below", perhaps we'll do something similar.

Thanks for flagging that for me. At least one other team thinks it's a good name Smiley.

I really like North, its simplicity but harsh / rugged undertone do a good job of representing how I want the game to feel... for the moment I'm inclined to keep it and differentiate with a subtitle as in Zelda - A Link to the Past. Is that what you call it, a subtitle?

Something to decide fairly soon, but not immediately.

Are you familiar with the novels of Joe Abercrombie? This project has a very similar vibe.

@idoru Yes, love his work, some of my favorite fantasy to read. The Bloody-Nine is probably my favorite character throughout his books.

Abercrombie's work is definitely an influence, but I'm going for something a bit more down to earth, less overtly magical, and more druidic and shamanistic. The goal would be to have some plausible grounding to "magic", so enemies might throw fire bombs at you, clay pots filled with oil with a lit fuse, rather than say actual magical fireballs.

No doubt Abercrombie dealt with magic in an interesting way, but I'm going to see how far I can get without leaning on magic.

The graphical style is cool! Reminds me a bit of Alto's Adventure. Keep up the awesome work!
