Actually Selling the Game: Two days later[/center]
So, I just got some time to write this down :D Sorry for the gap between one report and the other.
We released the game around 1AM of February 21. We didn't had any marketing or anything, just sent some email telling everyone, twitted about it and we made a new posts. We got featured on some big sites and blogs here in Brasil (like Kotaku BR) and on Indiegames.com. I thought that indiegames.com would hugely impact our sales... it don't. I mean it had a big impact (there are a lot of people coming to our site from theirs) but it's nothing huge like I had imagined.
Another thing that is costing much more time than I imagined is the support. We are receiving tons of emails, mostly people saying that enjoyed the game, something that is really inspiring to us. We also received a LOT bug reports (usually nothing serious, thank god the game is running on most PCs) and a bunch of "game design tips" (some are really good and constructive, others look like that were made by some annoying kid).
Well, let me share the actual statistics:
Day OneDesura: 13 Units Sold
Our Website: 7 Units Sold
Total: 20Day TwoDesura: 18 Units Sold
Our Website: 21 Units Sold
Total: 39I'm not sure why people started buying on the second day, I think that's probably because they were waiting for some game review or reaction of the pre-order guys. But that's just speculation.
Another interesting fact is that the percentage of Brazilian buyers is getting smaller and we are receiving some more international attention, which I think is awesome
That's it for today!
I'll post more statistics soon.
Edit: I almost forgot, the big total number of units sold so far:
245
