Badger upon Monocle is a proud coastal village, just north of the fifteenth century.  It is a proud village, with a history that stretches back many generations indeed.  It has a very strong tradition of democracy.  Indeed, the voter turnout for even the most trivial matters is almost uncanny.

It employs a slight variation on the usual medieval system of marriage.  Marital promises must be publicly declared by both parties.  Somebody may, upon the death of their spouse, remarry without remorse or shame.  Same-sex marriages are allowed.  Polygamy is illegal, and universally frowned upon.

• Joshg, the oysterer (one who catches oysters) [human, murdered on night 1]
  
• Jstckr, the unguentary (one who sells unguents) [careless healer, murdered on night 4]
  
• Kao, the harberdasher (seller of men's clothing)
  
• Lazer, the lozenge cutter (cuts and prepars sweets/candy) [disappeared on night 2]
  
• Melly, the plumer (a dealer in feathers)
  
• Pigbuster, the wharfinger (owner of a wharf) [werewolf dreamtinkerlynched on morning 4]
  
• Seth, the tumbler (erm...a sort of one-trick entertainer/acrobat) [human psychologistmauled on night 3]
  
• Shinygerbil, the wetnurse (a woman hired to suckle a child of someone else) [human, commited suicide on morning 3]
  
• Tantan, the caulker (one who filled up cracks in ships or windows) [careless healer, murdered on night 4]
  
• Terry, the alewife (female alehouse keeper) [disappeared on day 1]
  
• Xion, the vaginarius (scabbard-maker) [amorous guardian, mauled on night 2]
  
• Xotes, the snobscat (one who repairs shoes)
