I see it! It's curious how marketing is done completely different in Japan, China and probably other countries in Asia as well. If I couldn't read "Toshiba" and "HDMI" on that picture, I might have guessed it was a conference for candy with all those red colors, and the text type etc. Not to say there's anything wrong with how it's done, I just think it's interesting that colors, fonts and layout is used differently. I guess if a Japanese commercial was shown on European television, I don't think it would work. And it's probably the same thing the other way around, a European tele vision commercial wouldn't work in Japan. In Denmark we just can't stand German commercials. They always just synchronize the speech with a Danish voice, but it just doesn't work. The culture is just different, the german commercials is a laughing stock in Denmark. Maybe it's the same in Norway and Sweden? But they keep doing them, so I guess they work as intended: People remember the product names, even though they think the commercial is bad. Oh, sorry, I guess I got a little off-topic.

We laugh at these in Poland too. Or we're just pissed off and change the channel when these appear on the TV. These German companies seem to never get their damn lesson - they still translate their sucky ads. Or even try to make local ones, using the same scenarios. A relative of my family once worked for such a company on a commercial for some cleaning product. She came up with a pretty neat and funny idea and shown it to the company's representatives. They didn't get it and requested that the commercial has to feature a happy Hausfrau (house wife). And that she should dance and sing while cleaning, because she's happy, because she can clean her kitchen with the product. My friend then tried to explain that it's exactly what she wanted to avoid, as Polish women find this offensive, boring and annoying. No effect. So she just quit. They ported their original commercial and made a serious contribution to the overall shittiness of the TV. So much for a little anecdote on crappy German commercials. Side note: I don't remember the company's or the product's name :D.

*sigh* I believe you. Their commercials for cleaning agents have to have a house wife struggeling with some dirt, wondering to herself how if she'll ever be able to make it go away. THEN suddenly, the help is there, and *BOOM* she's all over the house and the dirt goes away amazingly easy.

If the cat (how do you even see it's a cat?) had a string or something from his eye, then maybe I've would've believed you. I would've "fixed" it if I were you. Found some white string and a hat On the german comercials, haha. It's the same here in sweden. They're always so horribly cheerful and sunny.

If you thought that was a monocle maybe you should wear 2 monocles at the same time which are connected together and have a doctor's prescription for the the lenses. Either that or wear contacts. Also, just because something has a monocle, it doesn't mean its from tigsource. For instance: Mr Peanut

How can you be sure he's not from here? Derek could have created him in secret as part of his world domination plans.
