My entry.  Smiley

http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2009/04/ ... ntry-name/

Not a great game, but I actually managed to do everything I planned from the start. In fact, I left nothing out that I originally wanted and added more... it just turns out that what I originally wanted wasn't to great. Its mildly entertaining though, and I learned a lot.

play it online at wonderfl

Here's my first Ludum Dare game. Not very flashy, despite being in Flash, and probably a bit too random and obtuse, but I like it. The source code is provided, albeit the final version is very hacky. Check my wonderfl profile for less hacky beta versions.  Wink

My entry is the most terrible thing anyone has ever made.

But that's what you get from working in PowerPoint.
Make sure you package it into an exe. (this helps) :D
I'll do that a little later, but the process is so incredibly complicated that I'm too brain-dead to try it now.

Oh, and here's my entry if you all want to try it out. It's bad. Really, really, really bad.

Amazingly this time I managed to finish my game - a first for me. I tried to make a Harvest Moon/Settlers/Action RPG hybrid but I didn't manage to put everything in in the time frame. Anyway this seems to have finally broken my eternal procrastination.  Smiley

Anyway, here it is.

Wow, I'm impressed I didn't die behind the wheel.  Shrug

By the way, 121 entries is insane. Shocked

How in the world am I supposed to play and rate all those...

Here's mine:

It's called The Triumph of Time, which seems to fit the whole 48 hours deal perfectly, though it's actually a blatant James Blish ripoff.

I crashed and burned! Sad I just couldn't get my game together on time so I had to pull it from the competition. I might start chipping away at it in the evenings over the next two weeks.

I had a feeling this might happen because I didn't have gameplay fully working early on, but I'm glad I saw it through to the end. I also feel like I learned a few things about coding and building games this weekend.

My entry: Superflat's Balls of Legend (Mac / PC)

It's turned out quite playable I think!

Is there typically some collection of all games for download in these LD compos?

Yes, there is usually a collection with all or most of the games. However, whoever packages it usually waits a few days or so before putting it up, so that people get time to port their games to other platforms.

Keep an eye on the LD blog, there might well be one eventually.

I gave up. I was so tired I couldn't resist not to fall asleep.

Hopefully, I'll finish what I began.

Looking forward to checking out entries.
