Coast last week. Shiptur rekt them with Ahri and kinda xPeked the base with lichbane. Really nice game, I recommend watching it.

So, velkoz. I've seen a couple vids of him and i've played against him once. I think he's basically a more unique version of lux. What do you guys think? He's not as op as yasuo or jinx were when they came out. He's still strong, but he doesn't have much burst. He does more sustained damage during a fight.

He has no mobility, so you need to build CC heavy team with strong frontline around him. He has damages, but I think he won't get played a lot (I mean competitive, not soloQ, people play everything in soloQ). If you have godlike positioning and mechanics he's strong. But if you have godlike mechanics and positioning just play Vayne and carry 1v5.

basically the idea is that adc's are not in a very good position in the meta atm; they're often a big liability due to the sheer number of heroes that can jump on them and 1shot them and don't really do anything until they get several thousand gold in items.
what we've been trying is a high-burst botlane with good teamfight/push capacity (and ad top and jungles). leona and another APC (with a stun) just outright wins any fight with an enemy ADC/support duo. we shut them down hard, push fast, get a HUGE gold advantage (thanks to the new gold income items), and then win before the enemy ADC gets their third (or fourth) big item.
we've still got several games to go before i'd feel comfortable calling it viable, at the very least i'd suggest you try it out (if you've got someone good with leona, and know how to apply pressure/end games quickly).

AD carries are kinda ok, despite how rekt they got by S4. All of the top picks ATM (Jinx, Lucian, Sivir, Cait) are still strong and can easily carry games.
If you wanna do fun bot lane, I'd go for Annie/Brand. Really easy to snowball and fun to play.

Leona just works really well with anyone who has CC that locks an enemy down.
That's how I got to gold pre-season 4. Just force-fed my adc as Leona for literally 5 games and won every single one :V
But yeah, Leona x CC stronk, need more non-standard lane comps

Generally speaking, an ADC really shines when they have either someone peeling for them or able to peel for themselves [which is part of why Vayne is so good]. Having good teamwork is just better overall in general and later-game, if you aren't instant-gibbing the adc right off the bat then teamfights won't go in your favor if you don't have one.
At least that's how I think it works, I don't really know otherwise.

it works better when you dont let it get to late game and demoralize the shit out of them pre 20 minutes
also doesnt work as well if their team has a ton of peel
