I wanna move to Calirado, by the way. Wanted since time immemorial.

is having elements such as a twitter feed and polls around the game a distraction or a feature?
Needless distraction.

how does the 'screen' look?
Simple. Needs a frame of sorts around the text area to give it a bit of flair. Make it spacey, dedicated to yours truly. Wink

do you want to play it? if so, why? if not, why not?
Yes. I like text adventures, but the story must make sense and have alien intercourse. And sense of humor. And space battles. And laser shooting. But alien homoerotic scenery must be present. Between females using their appendages.

Homoerotic

Appendage
Use

And upskirts.

Feedback
I'd love to hear any and all feedback, especially concerning the follow:

depends how it is implemented

It is ok I guess. Good enough for me to want to try the game if the story sounds interesting

I agree, the interface could definitely look more space-y. The Twitter feed is unnecessary and will detract from immersion.

Honestly, the interface is a bit simple. Especially if you're going for an atmospheric look.

The Twitter interface is kind of distracting, takes up space that could be used for the text adventure, and I'm not sure what exactly it would be used for? If it's really all that important, make it so that at certain points, it'll allow you to post the event that happened to Twitter, using a new window, during gameplay.

Otherwise, it sounds interesting. Smiley

I'm Canadian, but that doesn't seem to matter! No No NO

I want to see a map of this new North America, because it sounds like "Canada" now includes all of the US east except maybe Florida and Georgia.

Hey, I played a bit with the console and I like it visually.

One usability feature you could add though is automatically focusing the text box on page load, so users don't have to click it.

I can't say I really got anywhere in the story. A key feature in most of these text adventure games is a help command that you can type during gameplay for a list of possible commands. I couldn't even figure out what to do after picking up the note.

Anyways, keep working on this! I look forward to seeing where this project goes.
