Here are some of his original drawings

Okay , he sure have a lot of pics of her I really like the fact that he has made blueprints of the internal workings of the Unit and everything When I first saw your pic I thought that it was a SMD as in some kind of accessory to the GameBoy she's playing ... but after reading around about her it appears its a part of military hardware they've used to replace her eyesight which she's lost in some way EDIT: he drew fanart of MegaMan Legends , CaveStory , Mischief Makers and that guy with the eyebrows from FLCL ... this guy is osum

First I imagined him being engulfed by some wrath from god.
Then I imagined him maniacally laughing as he grew so powerful to get some massive energy aura.
either way, awesome

@kramlack; when i first saw it i thought he was standing inbetween two flames, it took me a little bit to see that the white bit was an energy beam.
i think that's mainly to do with the size of it though, if the orange bits were larger it'd be easier to tell.
@godsavant: <3 great piece

strange colours for those inner rings, they separate the planet from the outer rings quite a bit. is that a spaceship or an asteroid in the foreground? i think it's a spaceship but it's hard to tell at first glance. i haven't pixelled in a while; purple bits on the arms of the left slime are dumb, they should be black. right hand side is a clown/pope crossover

is true. Why don't you just skip them entirely? That could propably help creating some space in the pic, right now it's a bit cluttered. There's a lot of space in space right? I love the work on the planet's surface, and the flare in the door thing.

Mostly worried about the inner rings, but how's it look? the inner rings are total crap, but the rest is very good, the image is very evocative.

Also, I'd suggest that you have one-frame where the character pulls back. If you've ever tried punching without pulling your arm back first, you'll realize that you lose a lot of force from the punch, just as your animation loses a lot of force as well.

a mash-up of breakout and space invaders where you need to defeat waves of guys to move to the next level. going for simpler colors and something a little bright and cute. I am really bad a top down perspective though. so this has been quite a challenge so far. I need to design better walls and a ball and character now.

Ah, cool idea. I know you say you're going for simpler colours, but I think a bit of hand drawn gradient on the enemies could be nice; something to make them darker near the bottom and lighter near the top so they pop out a bit more and can be told apart better. The orange ones are all blending together a bit at the moment. Cool so far though anyway.
