Oh man I absolutely love Flotsam's artstyle. Reminds me a lot of Else Heart.Break()
I didn't know Else Heart.Break() yet, that game looks sweet! I love the Flotsam water FX, awesome Thanks! It's a pain to get right though, now that we're adding depth we have to rework some more, etc as can be seen:

woah, quite some time since I haven't checked out floatsam updates, the whale + depth gif is killing it @Juwdah glad to see it's going well. Had a lot of fun making this mini arcade game inspired on Asteroid and now I finally released it! if someone is having a little break from work > CORPUS100 <

I want to like Corpus but using the mouse to aim with no scrolling throws me off. Try keeping the player centered and move everything else in relation to the player eg. you click to the right, the player would move left so just move everything to the right, screenwrapping as you need to.
Also do this:
draw everything twice if it's close to a border eg an eyeball 40% past the right border should show up 40% on the left side.

@xix: Those shadows do look really good, to my eye--especially when shadowing the disintegrating "smoke-puffs". A damaged wall, showing the transition from flat-and-normal-mapped to three-dimensional blocks around the breach: Part of a (probably WIP) mural, adorning a wall in the lower tombs:
