Ive been having a lot of fun in photoshop lately, making all kinds of crazy stuff for a game I'm doing.  I got to thinking, would anybody want some kind of like.. "sprite sheet" or series of characters/objects/deco?  I'd just fill out a 640x480 image with any kind of sprites I see fit to, then upload it here for free use by anyone.

Good idea? Bad idea?

So long as there's a theme, and potential gameplay elements, you oughta be solid. Sometimes they're really inspirational; and you might post them at OpenGameArt.org as well, and build yourself a rep there, too.

Though to be fair, that's more in line with the "art" subforum.

You know what would be ideal to play around with? Simple-devised characters with 4-way stands, runs, rolling, jumping, and maybe a hit/dying effect. Something simple and straightforward like that. Maybe borrow concepts from the typical coolness tropes, like Knights, Ninja, Pirates, Zombies, etc.
